Project Manager
Bakersfield, CA Our need is for a project manager who will bid and win projects, satisfy customer needs, and make the working experience enjoyable for those around him. Teamwork and the ability to coach others is absolutely paramount to being successful Job Purpose: Completes projects by developing and evaluating project plans and progress. Duties: Project management of multiple commercial Plumbing projects running simultaneously. Establishes project objectives by analyzing project proposal; collaborating with management. Establishes project plan by determining time frame, funding, and staffing; approving project schedule. Organizes project staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training staff members; assigning responsibilities. Establishes and achieves financial objectives by preparing a project budget; scheduling and approving expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Approves project specifications by analyzing product design, customer requirements, and performance standards. Controls project plan by approving design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes. Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Maintains project staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Maintains safe and clean working environment by establishing and enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations; coordinating with government regulatory agencies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Skills/Qualifications: Must be skilled at reading blueprints, bid packages, estimating jobs, tracking time and cost to meet project objectives. Requires exterior and interior Plumbing project management skills. Must be well versed in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must posses outstanding communications skills with construction staff, vendors and customers. Project Management, Planning, Product Management, Performance Management, Basic Safety, Coaching, Quality Focus, Results Driven, Teamwork, Dealing with Complexity, 5 Years Prior Experience. The successful candidate is goal oriented, highly organized, possesses a high level of integrity to gain and keep the trust of clients and peers, highly intelligent, an excellent problem solver, has requisite technical competencies, and possesses excellent communication skills.
