The Davey Resource Group (DRG) is currently hiring certified arborists, professional foresters, horticulturalists, natural resource specialists, environmental scientists, landscape, nursery, tree care and parks and recreation professionals, plant and outdoor enthusiasts to join our workforce. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Support innovative ROW vegetation management program at gas-electric utility* Inspect utility corridors creating electronic work plans used to guide professional tree crews * Work with tree crews to ensure understanding and adherence to work prescriptions* Engage and educate property owners about issues related to trees and overhead conductors * Notify landowners of planned vegetation management * Assess terrain, habitat, and environmental conditions * Coordinate with program manager, lead and staff utility foresters, and contract tree crews REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * 2 or 4 year degree in horticulture, forestry, environmental science, or a related discipline and 1 year experience in Utility Vegetation Management (UVM) OR* 3 years experience in Utility Vegetation Management* International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist * Good computer and software skills, familiarity with Clearion is a plus* Clean DMV driving record and ability to drive and operate a 4x4 vehicle * Organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail * Ability to identify local tree species and possess a general knowledge of growth ratesWHAT WE OFFER: * Company Vehicle/Fuel Card* Company Phone* Paid time off and paid holidays* Opportunities for advancement* All job specific equipment and safety gear provided* 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match* Employee-owned company & discounted stock purchase options* Group Health Plan* Employee referral bonus program* Career Development Program supported by Industry Expert Safety Specialists & Skills Trainers* Employee Scholarship for AS degree in Environmental Management * Scholarship Program for Children of Employees* Charitable matching gift program* Company paid professional certifications and continuing educationADDITIONAL INFORMATION: DRG offers competitive wages based on qualifications and experience.
