Accountant, Planning & Forecasting Team - Finance Business Partners

ROLE TITLE: ACCOUNTANT, PLANNING & FORECASTING TEAM, FINANCE

LOCATION: Hybrid working, which will include a blend of onsite (Dublin) and remote working

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?

As future-focussed finance business partners our objective is to support the business in the development and delivery of AIB's strategic and financial objectives.

A vacancy has arisen in the Planning & Forecasting team which forms part of the wider Finance Business Partner Team of c.35. This team is central to the development of the 3 year financial plan and the provision of regular financial forecast updates to management. The role involves supporting planning & forecasting analysis, scenario modelling and presentation of AIB's financial plan and forecasts. The role offers the right candidate the opportunity to develop a deep knowledge of planning and forecasting processes and to gain exposure to multiple finance functions and business units from across the bank.

This role reports to the planning and forecasting manager and is being offered on a permanent basis.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:

*Manage and maintain planning and forecasting models and collaborate with planning stakeholders to ensure planning models are accurately updated to reflect business assumptions and trends *Work closely with Finance BP's, business units and other finance functions to bring together the overall AIB group financial plans and forecasts *Support the management of the onePlan system (AIB's planning system) *Perform review & challenge of forecasts and plans, carrying out analysis to provide insights on key business trends and issues *Other scenario and adhoc analysis for management *Responsible for running forecast updates and assisting in the preparation of forecast presentations, including key metrics, insights and commentary for ExCo and AIB Board

*Minimum 4 years relevant experience working in a financial services and/or markets role with an ability to ‘hit the ground running' *Professional qualification (ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA/ CFA or equivalent) *Strong skills in quantitative analysis with excellent attention to detail *Excellent Excel and PowerPoint capability *Ability to manage relationships (internal and external); high level of verbal and written communication skills *Be a self-starter, with a strong work ethic, who can either work independently or as part of a small, close-knit team *Results-oriented, with an ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure *Have a high level of initiative and ability to act with discretion and confidentiality
