Bilingual Supervisor, Pharmacy - English & Spanish + PR RPh license + M - F + Competitive Pay
San Juan, PR Company Name: Kroger Specialty Pharmacy Position Type: Employee FLSA Status: Non-Exempt POSITION SUMMARY Perform functions to dispense prescription medications and supervise pharmacy technicians, shipping, and pharmacists at an assigned locale, making decisions based on conclusions for which there is little precedent. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS *Dispense and oversee the filling of prescriptions to ensure that each patient receives the medications exactly as prescribed by medical providers *Ensure effective communication with providers, patients and associates to provide patient focused superior accuracy, safety and security *Consult with patients regarding safe use and storage of prescription medications, relevant health factors and respond to inquiries; consult with prescribing physicians as needed *Implement technical, policy and regulatory guidance to pharmacists, technicians and others to ensure all medications are accurately dispensed, recorded, labeled and stored for pick up or delivery, and that all reimbursements for prescription medications are accurately processed *Participate in interviewing and hiring decisions for new associates; assign and check work of technicians and other associates *Maintain work flow and ensure efficient, compliant pharmacy operations and resource utilization; consult on associate performance and training *Counsel, coach and provide specific technical guidance to associates; evaluate performance and conduct performance reviews in compliance with organizational policies and procedures *Support the manager in maintaining relationships with inside and outside sales associates to support the growth in referrals and customer base *Support the manager with quality assurance programs to ensure that pharmacy operations are in full compliance with procedural, policy and regulatory requirements *Support the manager in maintaining inventory and ensure proper storage and recording of medications and supplies; ensure the cleanliness of storage areas *Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports *Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements *Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies *Perform other related duties as assigned *Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy *Active and in good standing Pharmacist License *3 years of experience as a practicing pharmacist *Competent in the use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite *Strong team building skills with the ability to influence and lead, teach, train, counsel and coach to accomplish departmental goals *Demonstrated ability to use critical thinking and full understanding of relevant impacts in decision making *Proven ability to model excellent customer service resulting in improved customer satisfaction and enduring business relationships with patients, prescribers and associates *Highly effective communicator; superior listening, understanding, speaking, writing skills *Demonstrated excellence in attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple priorities with critical focus on accuracy and safety DESIRED PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION * Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy *1 year of supervisory experience *Any specialty pharmacy experience Education Level: Bachelor's Required Required Certifications/Licenses: Pharmacy Board License Position Type: Full-Time Shift(s): [[mfield4]] Regions: Any States: Puerto Rico Keywords: Specialty Pharmacy, Call Center, Management, Pharmacy Operations, Inventory Management Jobs at Kroger: At Kroger, we hire people who have a passion for helping others and who want to build a relationship with our Customers.
