Insurance Coverage Attorney
Hawthorne, NY Traub Lieberman is a national law firm with more than 90 attorneys in 6 offices across the United States. We provide a full range of services to our clients across 18 service areas. Traub Lieberman is looking to expand its Insurance Coverage practice group. We are a firm in growth mode, and we are looking for attorneys interested in growing with us. Job responsibilities include analysis of insurance policies and application of contractual wording to claim facts in the areas of general liability (torts), construction defect, products liability, environmental, employment practices, first party (automotive and homeowners), professional liability, and more. Ability to pinpoint issues and research the law in multiple jurisdictions is crucial, as is the desire and ability to analyze complex fact patterns and generate clear, concise written work product. The successful candidate will be expected to generate detailed reports, opinion letters, and correspondence, as well as litigation work product (pleadings and motions, discovery, and appeals), largely in the area of declaratory judgment practice. Approximately 25 percent of the successful candidate’s work will relate to direct defense of underlying tort cases, primarily premises liability and automotive. The candidate will have opportunities to appear at case management conferences, mediations, pre-trial settlement conferences, and depositions. The successful candidate must be a well-organized self-starter and able to manage tasks and deadlines independently, while keeping key stakeholders informed of case status. Traub Lieberman provides a collaborative team environment, and colleagues gladly offer training and answer questions to support the success of team members.
