Organization is seeking a Law Clerk - Intern to join the Department of Personnel Management. The intern will be responsible for performing legal research and interpreting laws, court decisions and other legal authorities to prepare briefs, correspondence and related documents.

**Job Title:** Law Clerk - Intern

**Salary:** $43,555.68 per annum

**Duration:** 4 to 10 weeks from May to August, 2023

**Required Upon Submission:**

- Completed application including all fields and signature
- Copy of HS Diploma / GED Certificate
- Copies of transcripts and degree(s) to receive credit for education
- Certifications (i.e. First Aid, CPR, etc.)
- Copy of Valid State Driver License/ID

**Optional To Receive Preference:**

- Navajo preference: Certificate of Navajo Indian Blood (CNIB)
- Veterans preference: Form DD214 and /or DD215 and Application for Veterans Preference
- Reemployment preference: Copy of Layoff Notice
- Non-Navajo Spouse Preference: Proof of marriage by a marriage license, proof of residency and spouse's Certificate of Navajo Indian Blood (CNIB)

**Minimum Qualifications:**

- Must be enrolled in a law school accredited by the American Bar Association.

**Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**

- Knowledge of legal research methods and techniques
- Knowledge of computer applications and standards of office practices and procedures
- Skills in researching, interpreting, applying and explaining applicable laws codes, and regulations
- Skills in analyzing and organization facts and evidence
- Skills in verbal and written communication
- Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
