The Civil Division has openings in various sections, including: Financial Services (recovery of money owed to the state), Consumer Protection, Litigation (civil defense), Labor (workers' compensation), and Governmental Affairs. The Attorney General's Office offers something for everyone. There are opportunities to gain experience in everything from simple, administrative hearings to multi-week, large scale complex jury trials and arbitrations.

### Preferred Experience/Skills

- Courtroom and trial experience
- Handling pre-filing investigation, discovery, motion practice, and depositions
- Drafting documents and correspondence
- Resolving claims by settlement
- Administrative practice
- State court familiarity
- Commitment to public service
- Excellent legal writing/ oral advocacy

### Opportunities Offered

### Salary and Eligibility

Candidates should be licensed to practice law in Missouri or eligible for a temporary license (Rule 8.06). Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. EOE.
