Litigation Paralegal
Indianapolis, IN Morgan & Morgan is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and a generous bonus plan. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a law firm setting, with a focus on personal injury or other injury related practice areas. This role will work closely with a lead attorney and legal assistant, and will have a key role in the winning fight for consumer rights. Responsibilities: - Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and complaints - E-file court documents in state and federal court - Communicate with clients, courts, counsel, and other parties - Conduct legal research and factual investigation - Prepare discovery documents and responses - Draft and serve summons - Coordinate and summarize depositions - Prepare trial binders and exhibits with legal assistant - Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents for court filing - Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes - Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices - Assist attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests - Gather relevant information from various sources - Liaise between trial teams and internal and external third parties - Assist with witness preparation and case settlements - Perform other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business Qualifications: - Associate’s Degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience - Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred) - At least 2 years of experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting - Experience in personal injury or other injury related practice areas (preferred) - Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail Benefits: - Competitive pay - Generous bonus plan - Medical and dental insurance - 401(k) plan - Paid time off and holidays Equal Opportunity Statement: Morgan & Morgan is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
