ABOUT THE ROLE

The role of Business Development Specialist at MoFo involves working closely with the Finance group to develop and maintain a loyal client base and drive additional work to the firm. This position can be based in either New York or Boston, giving the candidate the flexibility to choose their preferred office location.

The responsibilities of this role include developing concise and actionable business development and marketing plans, working with practice and industry group leaders on various strategies, implementing business development plans, and drafting and maintaining marketing materials for the firm's website. Other duties include conducting competitive intelligence and research, planning and executing marketing events and sponsorships, and submitting to directories and ranking authorities to maximize the firm's rankings.

ABOUT YOU

To be considered for this role, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least four years of relevant experience in professional services marketing, with a preference for law firm experience. Knowledge of the Finance, Private Equity, or Asset Management industries is desired, with direct work experience being a plus. The ideal candidate will also have a strong understanding of core marketing principles, including competitive intelligence, market research, and pitch and RFP responses.

Other key qualifications for this role include a high degree of motivation, excellent writing skills, attention to detail, strong presentation and communication skills, and outstanding interpersonal skills. The candidate must also have excellent organizational and project management skills, as well as strong business acumen and the ability to make effective decisions. Lastly, the candidate should have a talent for creating client satisfaction and a focus on client value in all work.

SALARY INFORMATION

The salary ranges for this position, where required by law, are $80k to $112k for New York and $76k to $106k for Boston. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO. These ranges may vary based on factors such as local market data, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, and certain degrees, licensing, and certifications.
