Responsibilities: - Interpret and advise on various aspects of municipal law, education law, and land use regulations. - Represent municipal clients in board meetings and litigation proceedings. - Draft and review legal documents such as local laws, contracts, and policies. - Negotiate and review contracts, leases, and other agreements. - Prosecute code enforcement cases. Skills: - Strong management skills and ability to handle situations with diplomacy, fairness, and sound judgement. - Excellent multitasking abilities and responsiveness to client needs. - Clear and effective writing skills. - Strong verbal communication and advocacy skills. - Quick and reliable research abilities. - Strong analytical and writing skills. - Interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues. - Commitment to the legal profession and teamwork. Qualifications: - Current New York Bar admission. - Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. - 3 years of experience in Public Law preferred. - Desire to continue developing legal skills.
