Corporate Counsel
Moraine, OH Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check. Salary Information: The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. Experience Information: The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as a corporate counsel or in a similar legal role. Responsibilities and Duties: - Provide legal advice to leadership and functional departments to ensure compliance and minimize risk - Negotiate commercial contracts with third parties - Manage all litigation involving the company - Engage and manage outside counsel when necessary - Conduct legal research and provide advice to management to minimize risk - Review and prepare contracts, including NDAs, joint development agreements, and purchase and sales agreements - Collaborate with functional departments to understand background and critical issues - Identify high risk areas and conduct general legal research - Other duties as assigned Qualifications: - Must be 18 years of age or older - Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school - Admission to the state bar - Minimum of 5 years of experience as a corporate counsel or in a similar legal role - Strong understanding of contract law and negotiation - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong research and analytical skills - Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects - Knowledge of employment and labor law preferred - Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred Company Overview: Fuyao Glass America, Inc. is a subsidiary of Fuyao Glass Industry Group Co.
