Position: Law Clerk (Summer 2025)

Experience: 1-2 years of law school completed by spring or summer 2025

Salary: $20/hour, full-time, paid summer position with transportation benefits and wellness leave

Duration: May 28th - August 16th, with option to end on August 8th if needed

Location: Arlington, Virginia (with potential for remote work)

Overview:
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** (PLF) is the nation's first and most successful public interest law firm dedicated to vindicating individual liberty. We are looking for motivated and liberty-minded law students to join our Summer Clerk Program in 2025. As a law clerk, you will have the opportunity to work on active litigation, study the constitutional and philosophical framework of liberty, and participate in educational and social activities. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and make a difference in the world of public-interest law.

Responsibilities:
- Draft legal memoranda on research questions for active trial and appellate litigation
- Assist in drafting motions and briefs before federal and state courts
- Contribute to the discovery process across all three of our practice areas

What makes this program different:
- Flexible assignments: You will have the opportunity to work across all three practice areas and choose most of your assignments, giving you the chance to craft your own experience.
- Weekly programming: Participate in educational and social activities to supplement your connection to PLF and the world of public interest law.
- Networking and mentorship: Build relationships with other PLFers and receive mentorship from experienced attorneys.

Requirements:
- 1-2 years of law school completed by spring or summer 2025
- Excellent writing and legal research skills
- Demonstrated interest in the philosophical and constitutional principles of individual liberty
