We are currently seeking a Transactional Paralegal to join our team and support our growing business.

Position Summary:
As a Transactional Paralegal at Heelstone, you will play a crucial role in supporting our project finance and M&A transactions. Your responsibilities will include maintaining organization across multiple transactions, coordinating with stakeholders, and working closely with outside legal counsel and service providers. This is a full-time hybrid position located in Durham, North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with all phases of various corporate transactions, including corporate and project financings and M&A transactions
- Coordinate diligence efforts on both project finance and M&A transactions, working closely with the company’s finance and development teams
- Prepare and manage checklists for ongoing transaction obligations
- Prepare and compile documents for closings and fundings
- Assist attorneys with drafting and proofreading transaction documents
- Order and review lien searches, summarize results, and flag any matters for attorneys
- Organize and manage datarooms and internal files
- Implement best practices and procedures to improve efficiency
- Proactively communicate updates to stakeholders and keep them informed of closing matters, project status, and key deadlines
- Coordinate work product with outside service providers and distribute draft documents to outside legal counsel as needed

Required Skills:
- 2 years of paralegal experience in a large law-firm or in-house legal department
- Prior experience in transactional paralegal work, project finance preferred
- Ability to support in drafting and follow-up of correspondence with stakeholders
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent proofreading skills
- Self-starter with ability to manage matters from commencement to final resolution
- Strong organization and matter management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others as part of a team
- Ability to manage various third-parties and professionally follow-up on key items to get to a closing
- Strong sense of accountability and ability to take ownership over projects and responsibilities
- Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and work well under pressure

Education & Technical Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in business, energy, environmental science, paralegal studies, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Litera Compare, Microsoft Suite, and Adobe
- Experience working with Datarooms such as Box, DropBox, and SharePoint
