Job Title: Assistant Prosecuting Attorney – Cheboygan County

Employment Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

- Review police reports and authorize or deny warrant requests for criminal prosecution
- Represent the State of Michigan in all stages of prosecution for misdemeanor, felony, and probate cases
- Communicate with victims and witnesses
- Draft legal pleadings and prepare search warrants
- Consult with law enforcement agencies
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Prosecuting Attorney

Physical Requirements:

- Walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, and kneeling
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs

In today's society, the role of an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney is crucial in maintaining law and order. Other responsibilities include communicating with victims and witnesses, drafting legal pleadings, preparing and reviewing search warrants, and consulting with law enforcement agencies. The Assistant Prosecuting Attorney may also be assigned other duties by the Prosecuting Attorney as needed.
