Paralegal

Paralegal - The Role of a Legal Support Professional at Mayo Clinic Mayo Clinic, a top-ranked healthcare provider, is currently seeking a Paralegal to join their team. This role plays a vital part in providing assistance and guidance to various staff members, both internally and externally, with legal matters that may impact the organization. The Paralegal will need to be highly organized, have strong decision-making abilities, and possess a thorough understanding of the organization and its business needs. Responsibilities The Paralegal will be responsible for managing a diverse workload and providing support in areas such as litigation, business law, employment law, and health law. Specific duties may include conducting research, analyzing statutes and regulations, leading meetings, collecting and summarizing documentation, drafting communications and legal documents, and serving on institutional committees. The Paralegal will also provide direction to support staff and act as a subject matter expert on immigration matters, including H-1B, J-1, TN, and E-3 regulatory concerns. Qualifications To be considered for this role, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from an American Bar Association (ABA) approved paralegal educational program with relevant legal experience, or a Bachelor’s degree and a paralegal certificate from an ABA certified program with relevant legal experience. A Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree is also accepted. Candidates must possess a thorough understanding of laws, rules, and regulations, and have strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and writing skills, as well as proficiency in the English language, are required. The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and compose legal documents is also necessary for this role. Salary and Benefits The Paralegal position at Mayo Clinic is a full-time, exempt role with a compensation range of $32.51 - $46.82 per hour. Benefits are also available to eligible employees. Remote Work and Location This position is primarily remote, but candidates must live within driving distance of one of Mayo Clinic’s sites in Arizona, Florida, Rochester, Minnesota, or Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
