Life Sciences Counsel

Overview: - The Life Sciences Counsel will support a growing and dynamic company in Alameda, CA. - This role involves providing legal support and advice on applicable laws and regulations related to medical device advertising and promotion. - You will work closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff as part of a closely-knit team. - Competitive salary range of $161,000 - $220,000. Responsibilities: - Provide legal advice and training on laws and regulations related to medical device advertising and promotion. - Support all legal aspects of clinical trial programs and assess related risks. - Offer pragmatic, business-oriented advice to company management and key stakeholders. - Review and negotiate various contracts. - Partner with other departments to ensure consistency and efficiency. - Help improve contract templates and playbooks. - Adhere to quality management systems and regulations. - Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: - Juris Doctorate and membership with the California Bar (or at least one other state's bar). - 6 years of relevant legal experience, with at least 4 years advising on clinical contracting and/or regulatory matters in-house. - Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industry is desired. - Strong judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Knowledge of healthcare compliance-related issues and regulations. - Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Working Conditions: - General office environment in Alameda, CA. - Some business travel may be required. - May be exposed to blood-borne pathogens. - Must be able to lift and move up to 15 pounds. - Must be able to remain stationary and use office equipment. - Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees at all levels.
