Principal Systems Engineer
Vandenberg Village, CA H1: Principal Systems Engineer at SAIC H2: Modernization of Space Launch Ranges Job Summary: SAIC is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support the modernization of space launch ranges and meet mission requirements. This position is located in Vandenberg, CA and offers a competitive salary range of $120,001 - $160,000. Key Responsibilities: - Provide system-level engineering support and expertise to a cross-functional team. - Identify and apply current and emerging Digital Engineering practices, methods, and tools to address challenges. - Collaborate with platform partners to contribute to greater practice of MBSE and DE across the enterprise. - Author and maintain technical documentation. - Develop and document engineering processes and standards. - Work on projects involving updates to ground-based systems such as RF systems, communication systems, telemetry, and/or virtualization of systems. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree with 9 years of experience, Master's degree with 7 years of experience, or PhD/JD with 4 years of experience. - Familiarity with collaboration and analysis tools such as Microsoft SharePoint, Excel, Access, and Project. - Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). - Active Secret Clearance.
