Vandenberg Village, CA Project Manager - Space Launch Modernization - Santa Maria, CA H1: SAIC Seeks Experienced Principal Program Analyst / Project Manager for Space Launch Modernization Project in Santa Maria, CA H2: Join SAIC's Team in Supporting the Assured Access to Space Mission and Spaceport of the Future Overview: - SAIC is a Fortune 500 technology integrator focused on serving and protecting our world through innovation and technology. - We are currently seeking an experienced and energetic Project Manager to support the modernization of space launch ranges and enable the Spaceport of the future. - This position is located in Santa Maria, CA and is a full-time, day shift role with the potential for hybrid remote work. Job Responsibilities: - As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and executing assigned Technical Direction Letters (TDLs) for the government program office. - This includes overseeing all aspects of project execution, such as cost, schedule, performance, and technical requirements. - You will also serve as the program's main point of contact for the customer and be responsible for team management, integration management, and successful completion of all project activities. - You will lead a multi-functional team responsible for the overall operational availability of the system, including mission, hardware and software engineering, sustainment, training, logistics, security, and support specialists. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree with 10 years of related experience, Master's degree with 8 years of experience, or PhD/JD with 5 years of experience. Relevant years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. - 5 years of experience managing teams/projects for mission-critical applications. - Experience with large-scale Agile or DevSecOps teams/projects, including backlog grooming, cost estimating, risk management, and schedule development. - Proficiency in communicating with customers to understand operational requirements and translating them into project plans and performance measures. - Familiarity with mission-critical data network operations, maintenance, and sustainment. Desired Experience and Certifications: - 9 years of experience managing teams/projects for DoD environments. - Experience with space launch or other national security space mission systems. - Current relevant project management certification, such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Project Management Professional® (PMP), or Program Management Professional® (PgMP). Clearance: - Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance. Target Salary Range: - $80,001 - $120,000 (based on experience and other factors).
