Summary:

SAIC is seeking a Space Systems Security Subject Matter Expert (S4ME) for a full-time position to support NASA Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) customer. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing and integrating Mission Security work for the IV&V Program's Mission Protection Services (MPS) Team in Fairmont, WV. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to travel to the customer location at least 25% of the time. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in Cybersecurity processes and procedures, as well as knowledge of Space Domain including spacecraft operations and data standards. Salary Information:

- Bachelors and 20 years of experience or more: $140,000 - $160,000 annually
- Masters and 18 years or more experience: $160,000 - $180,000 annually
- PhD or JD and 15 years or more experience: $180,000 - $200,000 annually

Job Title:

Experience Required:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Cybersecurity processes and procedures
- Knowledge of Space Domain including spacecraft operations and data standards

Responsibilities:

- Analyzing and integrating Mission Security work for the IV&V Program's Mission Protection Services (MPS) Team
- Ensuring IV&V MPS services, methods, work instructions and resulting analyses/products are current and state-of-the-art
- Developing, acquiring, and institutionalizing new MPS capabilities and methods
- Conducting training to ensure staff have the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs)
- Maintaining consistency and quality of MPS services across applications within the IV&V Program

Qualifications:

- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one
- Bachelors and 20 years of experience or more; Masters and 18 years or more experience; PhD or JD and 15 years or more experience
- Willingness to travel to Fairmont, WV at least 25% of the time
- Experience with Cybersecurity processes and procedures, including vulnerability identification and threat and risk assessment
- Knowledge of Space Domain, including spacecraft operations, systems and software architectures, and data standards
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Soft skills such as professionalism, strong work ethic, creativity, and problem solving

Additional Desired Qualifications:

- Expertise in vulnerability development, cyber exploit tactics and processes, and cyber security experience applied to embedded systems
- Ability to provide high level summary of results and draw conclusions based on interpretation of data
- Experience with software development, maintenance, and deployment processes and secure coding practices
- Knowledge of Hazards/Causes/Controls, Safety Engineering Analysis, Fault Management/FMEA/FTA analysis results
- Familiarity with data protection compliance standards
- Experience with ethical hacking or penetration testing
