Architecture Engineer Sme

Introduction:

SAIC is seeking an experienced Architecture Engineer to support the modernization of space launch ranges and enable the Spaceport of the future. This is a full-time position located in Santa Maria, California, with potential for hybrid remote work. The ideal candidate will have experience in communication systems, launch operations, and/or working in a DoD environment. SAIC is a premier Fortune 500 technology integrator, focused on advancing technology and innovation to serve and protect our world.

Job Responsibilities:

- Define system level architecture, incremental solution capabilities, and key interfaces, considering design, technology maturity, cost, and schedule constraints.
- Write technical system requirements based on market, stakeholder, and customer requirements.
- Author interface control documents, system descriptions, whitepapers, and other technical documents.
- Support strategic roadmaps for future technology investigations and capability assessments.
- Manage groups of systems and hardware engineers on new projects.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
- Familiarity with MBSE tools and procedures.
- Experience working in fast-paced agile sprints.
- Working knowledge of systems engineering full lifecycle.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Active Secret Clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

- Advanced degree in STEM or related discipline.
- Proficient understanding of fundamental model development.
- Experience with architecture frameworks.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Salary Information:

The target salary range for this position is $160,001 - $200,000, based on experience and other factors.
