Law Firm Seeks Experienced Docket/Calendar Clerk in Cerritos, CA

Essential Duties:

- Accurately calculate and calendar all deadlines for state, federal, appellate, and other legal proceedings.
- Review and process incoming and outgoing correspondence to ensure important deadlines are met.
- Maintain accurate case matter lists and distribute reports to appropriate personnel.
- Provide prompt and helpful responses to inquiries from timekeepers and assistants.
- Verify accuracy of all calendaring information.

Qualifications:

- 2-4 years of experience in a law firm setting.
- Strong understanding of appellate, federal, state, and local rules and procedures, as well as litigation terminology.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to make sound judgments and solve problems effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and proficiency in calendar/docketing software, preferably CompuLaw.
- Familiarity with state and federal court websites for research purposes.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to sit for up to 8 hours per day.
- Data entry tasks in calendar/docketing system for up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Salary Information: $60,000 - $75,000 annually

This full-time position is located on-site at our law firm in Cerritos, CA.
