Hampton, VA Job Title: Senior Compliance Professional Salary: $84,600 - $116,300 per year Experience: Bachelor's degree in related field, advanced experience in Compliance or managed care, knowledgeable in health care regulations Location: Remote, Virginia Department: Compliance Company: Humana Job ID: R-352830 Remote: Yes H1: Join Our Team as a Senior Compliance Professional in Virginia H2: Make an Impact in Health Care Compliance with Humana Job Description: - Serve as the designated Regulatory Compliance contact for the Virginia Medicaid contract - Analyze business requirements, provide research and regulatory interpretation, and advise internal and external partners to minimize compliance risks - Build relationships with market leadership teams and external regulators - Oversee Medicaid operations to ensure compliance and minimize risk - Conduct risk assessments and develop annual compliance work plans - Interpret state and federal regulatory and contract requirements - Review and analyze market documents to evidence compliance - Participate in external audits and coordinate responses for regulators - Work across operational units to enhance compliance efforts - Manage compliance data and report issues to senior leadership - Chair the Virginia Compliance Committee - Coordinate with the Special Investigations Unit for fraud, waste, and abuse program integrity Responsibilities: - Serve as dedicated Regulatory Compliance Officer for Virginia Medicaid contract - Build relationships with market leadership teams and external regulators - Provide ongoing oversight of Medicaid operations - Perform risk assessments and develop annual compliance work plans - Interpret state and federal regulatory and contract requirements - Review and analyze market documents for compliance evidence - Participate in external audits and coordinate responses - Enhance compliance efforts across operational units - Manage compliance data and report issues to senior leadership - Chair the Virginia Compliance Committee - Coordinate with the Special Investigations Unit for fraud, waste, and abuse program integrity Required Qualifications: - Virginia residency required - Bachelor's degree in related field - Advanced experience in Compliance or managed care - Knowledgeable in health care regulations - Strong communication skills Preferred Qualifications: - Juris Doctor and/or advanced degree - Audit experience - Experience with metrics and reporting - Experience working with regulatory agencies - Knowledgeable in process improvement Pay Range: The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
