Law Firm Seeking Experienced Litigation Paralegal in Washington, D.C.

Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm, is looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Washington, D.C. Our firm is dedicated to protecting the rights of consumers and providing them with the best legal representation possible. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys before, during, and after trials.

Responsibilities of a Litigation Paralegal:

- Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and complaints
- E-file court documents in state and federal court
- Communicate with clients, courts, counsel, and others
- Conduct legal research and factual investigations
- Prepare discovery documents and responses
- Draft and serve summons
- Coordinate and summarize depositions
- Prepare trial binders and exhibits
- Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and file them with the court
- Perform administrative duties such as calendar management, organizing case files, and managing logistics
- Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
- Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
- Assist attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
- Gather relevant information from various sources
- Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties
- Prepare witnesses for trial
- Assist with case settlements
- Other tasks as requested by the attorney

Qualifications:

- Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred)
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- 3 years of litigation experience (required)
- Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred)
- Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises Liability, or other injury-related practice areas (preferred)
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in calendaring depositions, mediations, and hearings
- Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures
- Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Typing speed of at least 35 wpm

Salary Information:

- Hourly range: $31.25 - $40.09 USD
