Our firm has a proven track record of fighting for justice and fair compensation for injured victims in Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio, with over $2 BILLION collected for our clients. As a Litigation Paralegal at Isaacs & Isaacs, you will work under the direction and supervision of our management team to provide crucial legal support to our attorneys and clients throughout all stages of the litigation and pre-litigation process. This is a hybrid position, with the option for remote work and paid travel for trials. You will report directly to our Manager of Litigation and will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our clients' cases. Key Responsibilities: - Entering important information into client files, including details about motor vehicle accidents, insurance, property damage, and medical providers - Conducting thorough investigations and documenting findings in Filevine (our case management system) - Maintaining regular contact with clients and insurance carriers - Managing clients' medical care, including requesting medical and billing documentation - Explaining the litigation process to clients and answering any questions they may have - Docketing meetings, court dates, hearings, and trials on our attorneys' calendars - Drafting and filing legal documents, such as Notices, Motions, Subpoenas, and responses to Discovery requests - Managing all correspondence with clients, insurance carriers, medical providers, etc. - Maintaining demand and mediation packages, as well as other important documents and updates related to our clients' cases - Communicating settlement negotiations from our attorneys to clients and adjusters - Collecting documentation of damages sustained, such as medical records, bills, subrogation liens, loss of income, and property damage - Organizing and maintaining case files within Filevine, using our case checklist to ensure regular progress on each case Requirements: - Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate - 3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in plaintiff litigation - Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations related to personal injury claims, motor vehicle accidents, premise liability, and insurance in Kentucky, Indiana, and Federal Court Districts - Knowledge of state and federal court procedures and e-filing - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong writing abilities - Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and other office tools, as well as e-discovery software and document management platforms - Knowledge of Filevine (our document management program) is a plus - Familiarity with medical terminology and traumatically induced conditions is helpful - Understanding of insurance coverage types and policies is beneficial Compensation and Benefits: - Competitive hourly rate of $24.00 - $31.25 (based on experience), with eligibility for overtime pay for hours worked over 40 per week - Monthly bonus potential based on KPI attainment after probation period - Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, life insurance, and more - Referral program and 401(k) with matching Join Our Team and Make a Difference: At Isaacs & Isaacs, we are committed to diversity and equal opportunity in all areas of employment.
