Associate General Counsel
Brentwood, TN Associate General Counsel - Brentwood, TN - Delek US Holdings Experience: - Six or more years of litigation experience and progressive management experience - Ten or more years of in-house or law firm experience Education: - Bachelor's degree - Juris Doctorate degree Responsibilities: - Provide legal support for various areas of the energy business, with a focus on commercial transactions - Draft, review, and negotiate a diverse range of commercial agreements - Advise internal business units on potential risks and compliance matters related to commercial transactions - Collaborate with finance, procurement, and operational teams to mitigate risks in contractual arrangements - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international regulations - Provide legal support in significant transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures - Oversee due diligence and advise on deal structuring from a legal and risk perspective - Partner with internal teams to align commercial agreements with company objectives and policies - Serve as the primary legal contact for business units and offer timely and actionable advice - Implement and maintain best practices for contract management - Train business teams on contract processes, terms, and legal requirements - Manage disputes and lead internal investigations related to commercial agreements - Provide a full range of legal advice and services as an attorney - Assess and identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk - Collaborate closely with other departments to further business and compliance objectives - Engage with the Board of Directors to report, advise, and develop compliance-related programs and procedures Requirements: - 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required) - Juris Doctorate Degree (Required) - Six (6) or more years Litigation experience and progressive management experience (Required) - Ten (10) or more years In-house or law firm experience (Required) - No Licensure or Certification Required Core Competencies: - Change Agility - Collaboration - Decision Making - Drive for Results - Team Building Benefits: - Up to 10% match on 401K with a vesting timeline of only one year - Medical benefits starting on day one with a 30% premium rebate annually - Access to the Calm app for free - Performance-based annual incentives - Pay for performance culture - Opportunity for career growth in a supportive and innovative environment Equal Opportunity Employer/Disabled/Veterans |
