Senior Claims Adjuster

Summary: We are currently seeking a Senior Claims Adjuster to join our team at Arch Insurance Group Inc. This role will primarily focus on commercial liability claims and requires a minimum of five years of experience in supporting commercial accounts. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, with a Juris Doctorate degree preferred. As a Senior Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for actively managing and overseeing assigned caseload of claims, ensuring they are handled within authority limits and in line with Arch's Claims Standards procedures and guidelines. You will also be responsible for investigating claims, determining appropriate reserving levels, and selecting third party service providers. In addition, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and clients, as well as representing Arch externally to the market. This role also requires excellent communication and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work well independently and in a team environment. Key Responsibilities: - Actively manage and oversee assigned caseload of claims in both lead and following capacity - Investigate General Liability and Automobile claims, including coverage determination and evaluation of loss exposures - Determine appropriate reserving levels and select third party service providers - Settle standard claims through payment or denial and negotiate to ensure efficient and competitive settlement - Ensure all claims are handled within authority limits and in line with Arch's Claims Standards procedures and guidelines - Act as a technical reference point and provide training/coaching to less experienced team members - Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and clients, as well as other relevant stakeholders - Effectively report and present loss and claims information internally and externally Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree; Juris Doctorate degree preferred - Minimum of five years of working experience supporting commercial accounts - Proper and active adjuster licensing in all applicable states - Exceptional communication (written and verbal), evaluating, influencing, negotiating, listening, and interpersonal skills - Understanding of relevant products, wordings, terms and conditions, and coverages - Strong analytical and time management skills - Ability to work well independently and in a team environment - Hands-on experience and strong aptitude with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word - Willing and able to travel 10% Salary Information: For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. The range is as of the time of posting and may be modified in the future.
