This position offers the opportunity to handle a diverse case load including government defense, law enforcement defense, civil defense, and personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation defense and be in good standing with the South Carolina Bar. Key Responsibilities: - Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs - Conduct legal research - Communicate with clients and opposing parties to resolve/settle claims - Manage a diversified case load from beginning to end - Provide timely reporting - Work closely with other attorneys at depositions and court appearances Qualifications: - Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school - Admitted to practice law in South Carolina - Minimum 2 years of experience in civil litigation defense - Familiarity with Westlaw - Experience with i-Manage and Juris Suite a plus - Strong analytical, research, and writing skills - Ability to prioritize assignments and caseload - Detail-oriented and able to work independently - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines - Previous experience in government defense and law enforcement defense a plus Compensation and Benefits: The compensation for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
