This role may require occasional in-person attendance at team building events and quarterly meetings, depending on the location of the specialist. The Conflicts Specialist can be based within a reasonable commuting distance of any of the firm's U.S. offices. Key Responsibilities: - Review new matter memos for accuracy and completeness. - Search all relevant parties in the firm's conflicts database. - Review conflict of interest reports and prepare summaries. - Provide summaries to requesting attorneys and answer any questions. - Adhere to all firm and department policies and procedures. - Assist with maintaining accurate shared documents. - Train and mentor Conflicts Clerks as needed. - Handle special projects and additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: - 0-3 years of legal experience, preferably in a large law firm. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently under pressure with minimal supervision. - Discretion in handling and escalating issues. - Strong multitasking and time management skills. - Analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail. - Proficient in research, computer, and database skills. - Ability to effectively train and mentor others. Minimum Education Required: - Bachelor's Degree. Juris Doctor preferred.
