Contracts Attorney - UPS Healthcare
Alpharetta, GA

Employer will not sponsor a visa for this or future positions. Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself. Must have a Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) or be a current UPS employee with three years of UPS experience. Must have a Bachelor of Laws (LLB)/Juris Doctor (JD) Degree. Must be a member of a state bar in good standing, with active license.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Analyze, comprehend, and identify potential business risks and recommend risk mitigation strategies
- Lead global contract negotiations and translate customer and company responsibilities into legally binding contractual language
- Develop processes to increase efficiency of the contractual process while minimizing operations, solutions and sales groups' warranty, and liability claims
- Review customer contract requests and participate in contractual meetings to advise Sales team and Solutions group
- Verify executed contracts are loaded into the contracts management system
- Prepare weekly status reports for stakeholders to bring awareness of organizations impacting contractual deals to leadership
- Draft responses to customers' contract revisions and facilitate contract discussions with customers
- Manage resources and people processes to ensure the day to day administration of processes and formal procedures
- Identify individual and team skill gaps and developmental opportunities to facilitate individual and team development

Knowledge and Skills:

- Familiarity with core service offerings and deep familiarity with product, service, and customer facing technology offerings
- Knowledge of competitors' offerings and the features of their products, services, and customer facing technology solutions
- Understanding of functions, regulations, and procedures of healthcare compliance agencies or governing bodies
- Cultural sensitivity when interacting with others outside one's own geography
- Knowledge of risk management fundamentals and techniques for soliciting and gathering information
- Thorough understanding of customer's business and supply chain concepts
