Institutional Compliance Officer and Title IX Coordinator Position at Reputed Firm

Position Overview:

The Institutional Compliance Officer and Title IX Coordinator at Reputed Firm is responsible for ensuring equal opportunity and affirmative action at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** The incumbent will serve as the primary point of contact for issues related to discrimination, harassment, and diversity. They will also oversee the production and implementation of affirmative action reporting and provide ongoing training to students, faculty, and staff on their rights and responsibilities concerning discrimination.

Responsibilities:

The Institutional Compliance Officer and Title IX Coordinator will have the following responsibilities:

• Coordinate the University's compliance with all aspects of Title II, Title IV, Title VII, Title IX, Section 504, and ADA.
• Review and develop University policy related to equal opportunity, affirmative action, and non-discrimination.
• Ensure a well-documented investigation process for complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
• Create and provide ongoing training to students, faculty, and staff on diversity and inclusion.
• Develop and maintain the University's affirmative action plan.
• Stay up-to-date on developments and best practices in the field of equity and non-discrimination.
• Collaborate with key partners in the Truman community.
• Develop strategic plans and initiatives to address areas of concern.
• Serve as a member of the Students of Concern Committee.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in related administrative, business, liberal arts, or social sciences discipline.
• Minimum of two (2) or more years of experience and knowledge interpreting and applying internal policies and state and federal statutes and regulations related to non-discrimination.
• Minimum of two (2) or more years of experience investigating complaints of discrimination, harassment, and other civil rights violations.
• Demonstrated ability to assess training needs and develop and implement educational programs.
• Commitment to diversity and experience working with diverse groups.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed investigative techniques.
• Excellent investigative, research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Self-directed and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrated judgment, organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Impartiality in decision-making.

Preferred qualifications include a Juris Doctorate or master's degree in a related discipline and experience in higher education or at a public institution.
