Job Summary: - Serve as a Staff Attorney at the Tax Litigation Clinic of LSC. - Work closely with the Clinic Director and collaborate with other members of the LSC team. - Represent low-income taxpayers in various legal fora. - Engage in individual representation cases, impact litigation, and policy initiatives. - Develop and contribute to creative advocacy strategies. - Mentor and support law students working in the Clinic. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with Clinic director and LSC team to develop and maintain the clinic's docket. - Serve as lead or co-counsel in Clinic cases. - Screen cases for merit and pedagogical value. - Help maintain diverse docket through community and organizational partnerships. - Engage in short-term and long-term planning for the Clinic. - Review and maintain Clinic's goals for grant requirements. - Contribute to LSC community and participate in committees and work groups. - Support administrative aspects of the Clinic's functioning. Qualifications: - J.D. degree earned at least 3 years ago. - At least 3 years of relevant experience. - Admitted to a state bar.
