Financial Analyst Iii/iv - Lab Support
Golden, CO The Financial Analyst III/IV position at NREL's Lab Support department in Golden, CO, is a full-time role with a competitive salary range of $73,200 to $143,300 per year. The Financial Analyst III/IV will provide financial management support to the Chief Financial Officer and other laboratory business leaders, program managers, project managers, and other NREL staff. They will work within a dynamic CFO organization, collaborating with other financial analysts and managers to solve complex financial tasks and improve institutional processes. The ideal candidate will have a relevant Bachelor's Degree and 9 or more years of experience, or equivalent relevant education/experience. They should also possess strong leadership, critical thinking, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to use various computer software programs. The Financial Analyst III/IV will be responsible for budget formulation and planning, funds allocations and analysis, project/budget execution, finance policies and procedures, and financial administration. They will also assist with maintaining updates to cost breakdown structures and executing and/or approving expense transfer or funding-related transactions. Other duties may include providing financial guidance to assigned programs, projects, and centers and monitoring and tracking components of the Lab’s overhead rate structure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles, theories, and concepts, as well as general knowledge of laws, regulations, principles, procedures, and practices related to finance. They should also have intermediate understanding of cost allocations, indirect rates, Cost Accounting Standards, and the Department of Energy budgetary process. Prior government contractor experience and working knowledge of financial software programs such as Hyperion/Essbase, Oracle Projects, Microsoft Power BI, and Oracle Business Intelligence are preferred.
