Assistant Attorney General
Prescott, AZ Organization: **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***'s Office Department: Criminal Division The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***'s Office is seeking an experienced Assistant Attorney General to join our Criminal Division's Healthcare Fraud & Abuse Section. This position offers a competitive salary range of $71,500 - $100,000 and the opportunity to work in either our Phoenix or Prescott office, with the potential for remote work two days a week. The Healthcare Fraud & Abuse Section investigates and prosecutes AHCCCS fraud cases, including the falsification of medical records, theft and embezzlement, illegal diversion of prescription drugs, and abuse of residents in AHCCCS-funded facilities. This position will have access to highly confidential information and will work closely with law enforcement, victims, and witnesses. Key Responsibilities: - Investigate and prosecute AHCCCS fraud cases - Access highly confidential information, including attorney-client communications and HIPAA-protected health records - Pursue matters both administratively and through civil litigation - Work closely with law enforcement, victims, and witnesses - Conduct legal research and writing - Travel to and from Phoenix for training and other duties (for Prescott office position) Qualifications: - Admission to and good standing with the Arizona State Bar - Minimum of five years experience - Knowledge of Arizona criminal law, procedures, and court practices - Experience with criminal investigations, interview techniques, and trial practice - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Ability to manage complex investigations and analyze difficult legal problems - Interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of internal and external contacts - Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment Benefits: - Competitive salary range: $71,500 - $100,000 - Comprehensive benefits package, including student loan assistance, sick leave, and paid parental leave - Retirement plan through Arizona State Retirement System - Optional employee benefits, including short-term disability insurance and supplemental life insurance To Apply: To apply for this position, please submit your resume, cover letter, and a writing sample.
