Law firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to join our growing team in California. As an Associate Attorney, you will have the opportunity to handle various stages of bankruptcy proceedings, including Chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases. We are looking for someone who is passionate about bankruptcy law and has a strong desire to help our clients navigate through the legal process.

Responsibilities:

- Manage various stages of bankruptcy proceedings, including Chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases
- Interact with clients in a professional and effective manner
- Conduct legal research and provide recommendations
- Prepare legal documents
- Represent clients in court
- Negotiate on behalf of clients
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient case management

Requirements:

- Licensed in the State of California
- 2-3 years of experience as an attorney in bankruptcy or secured creditor representation (experience with home mortgage assets is a plus)
- Active member of the Bar in good standing
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws
- Proficiency in analyzing case law
- Willingness to attend virtual and in-person hearings and mediations when required

Education and Skills:

- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technology, experience with mortgage client systems is a plus
- Positive attitude and adaptable to change
- Strong organizational skills
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
