Salary: $150,000-$200,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

H2: Support the Growth of Our National Higher Education Practice

Law Firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Higher Education Manager to join our team and support the growth of our national higher education practice. In this role, you will work closely with our attorneys and marketing professionals to develop and implement strategic marketing plans, build relationships with higher education institutions, and support the overall management and development of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop relationships with regional and national higher education professional organizations
- Establish and execute strategic marketing plans for the practice and individual attorneys
- Create a prospective client list and coordinate business development opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with higher education institution decision makers
- Coordinate firm attendance and sponsorship at higher education professional organization conferences
- Prepare and track higher education legal rankings
- Assist with responses to Requests for Proposals and pitch materials for higher education opportunities
- Coordinate presentations, events, publications, webinars, and white papers related to higher education
- Collaborate with Marketing Department to develop and maintain practice content and marketing strategies
- Monitor practice development efforts at competitor firms
- Work with practice management to refine and report on the long-term strategic direction of the practice
- Organize and implement team meetings and practice retreats
- Facilitate practice-specific attorney recruiting
- Identify and facilitate external professional development activities for higher education attorneys
- Manage the annual budget and priorities for the practice
- Track and report key performance indicators for the higher education practice
- Perform administrative tasks and provide general support as needed

Requirements:

- Master's degree in business, education, public administration, or related field (terminal degree preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience
- Legal or other professional services business development experience and higher education experience strongly preferred
- An entrepreneurial mindset with proven success in higher education and/or business development
- Strong project management and organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, consensus-building, and teamwork skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities

This is a full-time, exempt position with the expectation of occasional after-hours or weekend work and 25%-50% travel. The position may be resident in one of Law Firm's offices located in West Virginia, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, or Texas.
