Associate Attorney – Litigation
Annapolis, MD The Liff, Walsh & Simmons law firm is seeking a talented and experienced Litigation Attorney to join our team. As an Associate Attorney, you will play a critical role in providing top-notch legal counsel and support to our clients. H1: Join Liff, Walsh & Simmons as an Associate Attorney – Litigation H2: Grow Your Career in a Reputable Law Firm Responsibilities: • Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, and mediation. • Prepare, review, and present legal documents, ensuring the best interests of clients. • Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive legal solutions. • Conduct in-depth legal research and analyze information to assist in building strong case strategies. • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. • Manage case files and ensure all deadlines are met. • Prepare and file court documents, ensuring compliance with procedural requirements. • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. • Provide general support to attorneys during trial preparation and court proceedings. • Assist in preparing deposition summaries and trial exhibits. • Proactively identify and resolve issues, making recommendations to enhance final work. • Draft engagement letters and assist with client invoicing and expense recovery. • Complete special projects and other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. • Active membership and in good standing with the MD State Bar. • 1 years of experience practicing employment law, with a focus on litigation. • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. • Working knowledge of NLRB rules and regulations. • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. • Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional client service. • Driven, self-motivated, and able to lead a team.
