Litigation Assistant
Brookfield, WI Minnesota Law Firm Seeks Full-Time Litigation Assistant Salary Range: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour Requisition ID: 1005 Are you a results-driven and customer-focused individual with a high school diploma and experience in the legal field? If so, we want you to join our team as a Litigation Assistant at our Minnesota office. In this role, you will be responsible for various aspects of the litigation process, working closely with our State Managing Attorney and outside counsel. Your attention to detail and familiarity with legal terminology will be crucial in preparing coverage hearing packets, updating case statuses, and proofreading legal documents. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare coverage hearing packets for attorneys and outside counsel - Update case statuses and investigate errors with Process Team/Suit Team - Coordinate with state level attorneys to ensure accurate and timely filing of judgment and post-service documents - Proofread all dismissals and other assigned documents for correct formatting and criteria - Process mail and update information in the collection software system - Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by attorneys Qualifications: - High school diploma (or GED) - 1-3 years of experience in a legal setting - Familiarity with legal terminology and CLS - MN Notary license preferred - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Strong attention to detail and ability to provide high-quality work results Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week Benefits: - 401(k) with matching - Dental, health, and vision insurance - Health savings account - Paid time off - Referral program Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday Experience: 3 years in Microsoft Office (preferred) Work Location: In-person at our Minnesota office Join our team at the Minnesota Law Firm as a Litigation Assistant and use your legal experience and attention to detail to support our attorneys and ensure accurate and timely litigation processes.
