Purpose of Position:

The Law Clerk at the Tribal Judicial Institute, a reputed firm in the School of Law at the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***, will assist in preparing resources and research materials for projects funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance. These resources will support the planning, implementation, and enhancement of tribal justice systems and provide training and technical assistance opportunities at various levels.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Draft legal memoranda
- Conduct research
- Author publications
- Assist in developing distance learning resources
- Review tribal code, ordinances, resolutions, and constitutions
- Support grant-funded work assigned by supervisor, including planning and delivery of in-person trainings and conferences

Minimum Requirements:

- Completed 1 year of Law School
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit for the employed academic semester
- Successfully completed criminal history records check
