Job Title: Paralegal - Patent Prosecution
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in U.S. patent process and prosecution
Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications

Job Overview:

As a Paralegal for Patent Prosecution at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***, you will play a crucial role in managing, preparing, and filing patent documents with the USPTO. You will work closely with our docketing team and attorneys, providing top-notch support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and update files, including file openings, applications, responses, and filings with the USPTO
- Prepare and maintain IDS submissions
- Obtain file histories, document translations, and non-patent prior art
- Manage patent prosecution dockets, track docket dates, and prioritize tasks
- Prepare declarations, power of attorney forms, and foreign filing instructions
- Communicate professionally with the USPTO, clients, and foreign associates
- Foster strong relationships with clients while handling confidential information

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. patent rules and procedures; familiarity with PCT and international patent laws is a plus
- Proven experience with completing and e-filing U.S. patent prosecution documents with the USPTO
- High attention to detail and the ability to draft/edit documents accurately and quickly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Visio, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong client service orientation and ability to work independently or within a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree in paralegal studies, or a high school diploma with a paralegal certificate
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in U.S. patent process and prosecution

Physical Requirements:

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
