Attorney (Associate), Labor & Employment Team

Job Title: Associate Attorney - Labor & Employment

Salary: Competitive wage based on education and experience, paid on a salaried basis

Experience: Prior law firm experience preferred but not required. Candidates must have a law degree and be licensed to practice in Minnesota.

Responsibilities:

- Provide human resources support and advise public entities (school, city, and county employers)
- Assist partners with complex labor and employment matters
- Conduct legal research and draft legal texts, including reports, contracts, and appeals
- Represent clients at meetings and hearings
- Stay up to date on changes to legislation
- Complete all other tasks assigned

Preferred Skills:

- Proactive and able to work independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Detail-oriented and knowledgeable about labor laws

Parameters:

- Full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, equaling 37.5 hours per week
- In-office work required

Additional Information:

- Competitive salary with credit for education and experience
- Non-supervisory position
- Physical requirements include sitting for extended periods and lifting/moving file boxes
- Travel to client locations may be necessary
