Attorney (Associate), Labor & Employment Team
Fergus Falls, MN Job Title: Associate Attorney - Labor & Employment Salary: Competitive wage based on education and experience, paid on a salaried basis Experience: Prior law firm experience preferred but not required. Candidates must have a law degree and be licensed to practice in Minnesota. Responsibilities: - Provide human resources support and advise public entities (school, city, and county employers) - Assist partners with complex labor and employment matters - Conduct legal research and draft legal texts, including reports, contracts, and appeals - Represent clients at meetings and hearings - Stay up to date on changes to legislation - Complete all other tasks assigned Preferred Skills: - Proactive and able to work independently - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities - Detail-oriented and knowledgeable about labor laws Parameters: - Full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, equaling 37.5 hours per week - In-office work required Additional Information: - Competitive salary with credit for education and experience - Non-supervisory position - Physical requirements include sitting for extended periods and lifting/moving file boxes - Travel to client locations may be necessary - Equal employment opportunity employer, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law - All applications will be held in confidence |
