Senior Paralegal - Commercial Real Estate

The law firm of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** is seeking a skilled Senior Paralegal with extensive experience in commercial real estate transactions to join our Real Estate team. The position is available in either our Denver, Colorado or Los Angeles, California offices. In this role, the Senior Paralegal will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to commercial real estate transactions, including ordering and reviewing title commitments, preparing summaries and charts of title exceptions, and communicating with title companies to clear exceptions and obtain necessary endorsements. The Senior Paralegal will also assist in preparing closing documents and monitoring the progress of transactions.

Responsibilities:
- Order and review title commitments, zoning reports, and ALTA surveys for financing, investment, and sale transactions.
- Prepare summaries, abstracts, and charts of title exception reviews.
- Analyze CC&Rs, development and REA record filings, and advise attorneys of any issues or obligations.
- Communicate with title companies to clear exceptions and obtain necessary endorsements.
- Obtain survey proposals and review for compliance with ALTA/NSPS requirements.
- Order and review zoning reports to ensure code compliance and identify any violations.
- Prepare title objection letters and seller responses for acquisitions and sales.
- Assist in preparing closing documents, including deeds, estoppels, UCCs, and title affidavits.
- Monitor transaction tasks and provide updates to the team.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10 years of experience as a commercial real estate paralegal, with a strong focus on national title insurance.
- Experience working in a large law firm's commercial real estate department preferred.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive and professional attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external parties.

Salary Information:
- Denver: The annualized salary range for this position is $115,000 to $145,000, depending on experience and other job-related factors.
- Los Angeles: The annualized salary range for this position is $125,000 to $160,000, depending on experience and other job-related factors.
- Full-time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus and fringe benefits.

Physical Demands:
- Occasionally required to lift equipment and/or move boxes up to 20 pounds.

Hours:
- Core hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with overtime as required.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10 years of experience as a commercial real estate paralegal, with a strong focus on national title insurance.
- Experience working in a large law firm's commercial real estate department preferred.
