Paralegal - Civil Litigation
Washington, DC Job Summary: **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** LLP, a Civil Litigation Defense Law Firm, is seeking a Workers’ Compensation and Litigation Paralegal with 2-5 years of experience to join our team in Washington, DC. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Role Responsibilities: - Review and analyze new case files and medical records - Gather medical records and other discovery materials - Track, organize, and prepare discovery materials for counsel, experts, and witnesses - Assist attorneys with trial preparation - Conduct legal research - Serve guardianship notices to patients in local facilities - Organize and maintain files in our document management system - Perform general office administration functions Role Requirements: - High school diploma or GED - 2-5 years of relevant experience - Strong understanding of the workers’ compensation process in DC, MD, and VA - Experience preparing and serving subpoenas in DC, MD, and VA - Creative thinking and strong research skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and research programs like Lexis Nexis - Experience obtaining medical records and preparing medical chronologies and deposition summaries - Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines - Proactive work style and ability to anticipate attorney needs Required Education & Licensure: - 2-5 years of experience as a paralegal - Litigation experience - Paralegal certificate or licensure (preferred) Benefits for Full-Time: - Medical, dental, and vision coverage - Paid time off and sick leave accrual - 401(k) and profit sharing - Life and AD&D insurance - Flexible spending program Equal Opportunity Employer: **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** LLP is an equal opportunity employer.
