Job Title:

Corporate Counsel

Experience Information:

- 8-12 years of relevant legal experience preferred
- AEC industry experience preferred
- New Jersey Bar Admission required, additional states a plus
- Knowledge and experience with professional liability law is a plus

Responsibilities:

- Serve as legal expert for formal claims and litigation management
- Negotiate project contracts and contractual disputes
- Advise on health and safety-related issues
- Integrate and provide counsel to internal business partners
- Analyze non-compete/non-solicit agreements and draft cease and desist letters
- Review and negotiate various business agreements
- Mentor and lead others within in-house legal department
- Handle general corporate governance matters

Qualifications:

- J.D. Degree from an ABA-Accredited law school with strong academic credentials
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Strong internal client-relations, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with professional liability law, particularly in the engineering and construction industry
