Job Title: General Counsel Experience: 5 years Salary Range: Based on experience and qualifications Department: Legal Company: Fisher-Titus Health Summary: Fisher-Titus Health, a leading healthcare provider in the Huron County area, is seeking a General Counsel to join their team. The General Counsel will provide legal guidance to the President & CEO, Senior Leadership, and the Board of Directors on various legal matters, including policies, contracts, governance, accreditation, and risk management. Key Responsibilities: - Provide legal guidance to the President & CEO, Senior Leadership, and the Board of Directors on various legal matters. - Draft, negotiate, and analyze contracts, policies, and other legal documents. - Engage and manage external counsel when necessary. - Ensure compliance with healthcare laws and regulations. - Manage general liability and medical malpractice claims and litigation. - Assist with employment litigation and real estate transactions. - Collaborate with medical staff on patient care matters. - Prepare annual report on contractual arrangements for patient care services. - Carry out special projects as assigned. Requirements: - L.L.B. or Doctorate of Jurisprudence. - Admission to the Ohio Bar. - Familiarity with contract and employment law regulations. - 5 years of experience in healthcare law, corporate law, labor relations, or a related field. - Knowledge of the healthcare industry and human resources management. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Persuasive communication skills.
