Legal Writing Instructor

What You Will Do: Design and deliver engaging and comprehensive courses on Legal Writing, focusing on areas such as legal research, drafting legal documents, and persuasive writing. Facilitate legal workshops that cover various topics, including legal analysis, contract drafting, court procedures, and case briefing. Employ a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, group discussions, writing exercises, and case studies, to enhance students' understanding and application of legal writing principles. Provide constructive feedback on students' writing assignments, helping them to improve clarity, precision, and legal reasoning. Prepare for and instruct established and approved curriculum to students in a professional manner. Review and discuss syllabi requirements at the start of each term with students. Maintain student records. Recognize need for and initiate student support plans and tutoring as needed. Maintain professionalism within the classroom and coach students on their professionalism. Related duties, initiatives and projects as assigned. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school is required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related career field. Ability to use common software programs (MS Word/Excel/Outlook/Power Point etc.) Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Great interpersonal skills. Have the desire and ability to help students succeed in the medical field. Preferred Qualifications: One or more years instructional experience in an educational or work-related setting.
