Trial Staff Attorney (Primarily Home) - Remote Position

Salary Range: $95,000 - $161,000 per year

Full-time, remote position with relocation support available for eligible candidates

Join our team as a Trial Staff Attorney and provide effective legal representation in moderately complex litigation cases involving the corporation and/or its insured. As a member of our team, you will handle files and issues of a more complex nature, communicate with clients, and advocate for our client's position in various forums. Position Responsibilities:

- Handle moderately complex litigation cases within established corporate guidelines and code of professional responsibility
- Communicate with clients regarding file status and progress
- Analyze cases and evaluate risk to the company
- Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs for trial and appellate level
- Conduct necessary research to support legal activities
- Negotiate effectively for issue resolution
- Stay current on state statutes and court decisions to ensure accurate interpretation and enforceability of policy provisions
- May develop areas of specialty practice such as special property, workers' compensation, environmental law, and commercial coverage

Requirements:

- Admission to the Missouri State Bar required, additional admission to Illinois Bar preferred
- Juris Doctor degree
- Up to 50% travel may be required

Preferred Skills:

- Demonstrated experience in providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service
- Experience preparing civil pleadings, motions, and discovery and deposing witnesses
- Litigation experience
- Solid knowledge of Professional Responsibility rules and tort, contract, and insurance law
