CCLS Staff Attorney - Consumer, Senior, Public Benefits Team (Merced) - Full-time position
Job Description: Provide legal representation, outreach, and education to low-income seniors and dependent adults on a variety of legal issues.

Responsibilities:
- Represent senior and consumer clients in estate planning, public benefits, and consumer matters through direct services, administrative hearings, and affirmative litigation.
- Initiate impact litigation to prevent and remedy unlawful acts against seniors and consumers.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve the goals of the Fresno, Merced, Tulare & Kings County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) seniors grant project.
- Participate in community outreach events and legal workshops/clinics across the Central Valley.
- Maintain relationships with CCLS attorneys, pro bono attorneys and volunteers, support centers, and community-based partners and service providers.
- Provide in-person legal services at the CCLS Los Banos satellite office.
- Attend trainings and provide training to other CCLS staff.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Active member in good standing of the State Bar of California.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience as a practicing attorney.
- Civil litigation experience strongly preferred.
- Collaborative and team-oriented with the ability to work with colleagues and external partners.
- Able to work independently and under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Able to work with a diverse range of clients in a client-centered manner.
- Bilingual ability strongly preferred.

Salary: $68,133 - $92,703 DOE, plus generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, and paid time off.
