Salary: $60,000 - $85,000 per year (depending on experience)

The Assistant Grants Manager (AGM) will play a crucial role in reporting on and ensuring compliance with various grants for Community Legal Aid, Inc. (CLA), a non-profit organization providing free civil legal services to low-income and elderly residents of Central and Western Massachusetts. The AGM will be responsible for writing and editing grant reports, maintaining knowledge of funder-specific requirements, collaborating with staff to gather accurate data, and serving as a liaison between the grant development team and other stakeholders. The AGM will also assist in identifying grant opportunities and writing grant applications.

The organization has a hybrid work environment, requiring advocates to work in their assigned office at least three days per week.

Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree (J.D. degree a plus), previous experience in a grants-related position or as an advocate in a civil legal aid program, excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, effective organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

CLA has offices in Northampton, Pittsfield, Springfield, Fitchburg, and Worcester, and the AGM will be based in one of these offices. Occasional travel to other offices may be required for meetings with staff and managers.
