Assistant Attorney General - Consumer Fraud

Responsibilities: • Investigate consumer complaints and gather evidence to build cases against alleged perpetrators of fraud. • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. • Negotiate settlements and represent the interests of the People of the State of Illinois in court. • Monitor and analyze proposed legislation and rules related to consumer protection. • Provide guidance and support to other attorneys and staff within the Consumer Fraud Bureau. Qualifications: • Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois. • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in complex litigation. • Strong research and writing skills. • Sound judgment and ability to handle a high volume of cases. • Commitment to public interest work.
