In this role, you will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing Claims Consulting organization, establishing strong relationships with internal and external partners, and providing quality claims consulting and advocacy services to our clients across the Southeast region. Key Responsibilities: - Build a high performing Claims Consulting organization through hiring, monitoring, coaching, developing and mentoring claims consultant colleagues. - Establish strong internal and external relationships that establish MMA Southeast as a valued partner in claims advocacy and resolution. - Provide quality claims consulting and advocacy services to our clients across the Southeast region. - Develop claims management procedures and establish protocols for successful claims resolution across all lines of business. - Conduct periodic claims review sessions with key clients and present capabilities to prospective clients. - Partner with Producers to manage claims relationships with carrier partners, regional peers and third party consultants. - Advocate for clients throughout the claims process to help reduce costs and provide necessary information for best claims management approach. Requirements: - 15 years of claims experience with 3 years leading a claims department. - Bachelor's degree in related field required, J.D., AIC, ARM, CIC or CRM preferred. - Deep knowledge of management liability lines of business and cyber, contractual policy language requirements and implications for coverage or denial of claims. - Strong attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and sense of urgency. - Ability to think critically, solve problems, and embrace new challenges. - Excellent communication skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships. - Ability to influence others and communicate with executive leadership. - Analytical skills to understand complex claims and lawsuits and determine insurance coverage. - Ability to evaluate insurer's claims decisions and advocate for clients when necessary. - Ability to negotiate claims effectively and efficiently. - Ability to motivate and coach claims colleagues. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications. - 15%-30% travel may be required. - Commitment to company values: Integrity, Collaboration, Passion, Innovation, Accountability.
